The Lost Valentine

A young and cynical female journalist learns love may transcend trials and time as she discovers a story that will change her life forever. When war separates lovers on their wedding anniversary Feb. 14, 1944 at LA Union Train Station, Navy pilot Neil Thomas makes a promise he isn't sure he can keep - to return to the train station safe by their next anniversary.

For sixty years Caroline Thomas keeps her promise by waiting at the train station until her missing in action husband can finally keep his with the "lost valentine." The message and meaning shows romance and love can be real; worth fighting, and maybe even dying for.

Well, ladies (and gentlemen), hold on to your tissue boxes cause this one be a tear jerker. I think every other scene I had tears watering my eyes, (cause...you know...they were getting dry).

This Hallmark original is based off the novel, The Last Valentine, by James Michael Pratt. Though I've only read a few pages out of it, thanks to the Internet, and they were pretty close to those few pages. That' s all I can say about the two of them.

The movie was sweet, charming, and can really hit home to those out there with family members out fighting for our country. And even if you don't, you'll still be tearing up, having tissues hanging from your face at the tender moments that are being told.

Betty White was as amazing as ever. It was nice to see her doing something other than being a snarky old Ladie (even though she plays them perfectly :)...) She makes it believable and makes your heart flutter when she tells her stories.

The cast was great, did there roles fine, but I'll have to say Betty was the cherry on top for me. She pulled the movie together and kept us rooting for her, hoping that she'll finally get the answer she's been looking for for years.

Sadly, I didn't catch this on TV and I don't know when it'll be on for anyone of those interested. But I do know a place online that was in perfect focus, Megavideo. Just go to goggle, type in the title and that name I just gave you and then you'll be on your way to a great hopeless romance.
