Summary

Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. In “Glitches,” a short prequel story to Cinder, we see the results of that illness play out, and the emotional toll that takes on Cinder. Something that may, or may not, be a glitch...

I think I would have enjoyed this immensely more if I have read Cinder. I have the book and I know what it is about but I don’t know the characters, their personalities, their strengths and their weaknesses. I don’t really know them as a whole. I know of them vaguely but it isn’t enough to truly fall hard into this little short.
Other than me not feeling really connected to Ms. Meyer characters I did enjoy the story telling. Of this world Cinder is now becoming a part of. This is where we find out how Cinder became a part of this hatred family, how she lost her stepdad, and how she finds out even more that she doesn’t really fit into this world of fully humans. Where she finds her passion and what she is actually good at doing.
Overall, it’s a quick good read and I liked it. The world building was great and her little friendship with Peony was cute to read, however I just wished I read this after I get to Cinder. So my advice, read Cinder first that way you can feel more connected to the world and the characters.

Happy Reading Everybody!
