~Summary~

“What gives you a thrill Kristen?”

The minute I saw Vincent Sorenson, I knew he was trouble. Billionaire. Bad boy. And dangerously sexy. He was everything I craved, and nothing I needed.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t just avoid him. The higher ups at my company decided they needed his business, and I was on the team to bring him in. Vincent Sorenson didn’t seem as interested in business as he was in me, but I knew that was a door better left unopened. If I got involved with him, it would only unearth the pain I spent years trying to bury.

I thought I had it under control, but I seriously underestimated Vincent’s seductive charm and silver-tongue. I would soon find out how delicious it would feel to let myself fall into this forbidden surrender.

~My Thoughts~

I breezed through Forbidden Surrender. I read it in like twenty-four hours, to say the least, I was hooked. Though the story isn't really unique, no doubt you've read something similar before, but the characters and situations they got into was what held my attention. Especially when Vincent handled a client with a poisonous spider.

The beginning kind of reminded me of Fifty Shades of Grey, never read it but from the trailer, it seemed similar on how the two love interests met. Though, Kristen is so much tougher than the main gal in Fifty Shades of Grey. Not dissing that book by any means, just an example that this storyline has been done before on the love interest part. But like I said, it was the characters, especially Vincent's sexiness and persistent towards Kristen is what had me so hooked. I literally did not want to put down my kindle!

Though I was hooked and couldn't stop, I hated to walk away because it just consumed me when I wasn't, I still felt like something was missing. I know there's more to the story, I've requested the second book, but I just felt at the end that I wasn't totally satisfied. It's because I know there's more to Kristen's story and I so badly want to know what happens next!

Overall I'm torn. Part of me loved it, it's exactly what the summary says and I loved the teasing and development between the two characters. But another part of me just so badly wanted more from the other plot line that was going on, Kristen's hard past was coming into her present and I wanted more of that at the end. I'm glad Kristen told Vincent what happened to her but like I said, I want more!
